Self-Pay clients must meet only 1 of the following requirements:
Suffer from a physical condition (i.e., chronic pain, diabetes, heart problems, Parkinson’s, sight impairment), etc.
Be recovering from a hospital stay and unable to prepare their meals
Be a caregiver for a physically or mentally impaired person
Be 80 years of age or older
Anyone interested in getting on the Home Delivered Meals Program is encouraged to contact the Activity Center at 480-816-5229, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Messages are not retrieved after 4 p.m. or on weekends or holidays until the next scheduled business day.
Clients who are unable to pay for meals may qualify for meal assistance through Area Agency on Aging, a private nonprofit organization serving Maricopa County. Area Agency on Aging uses a different meal provider and days for scheduling vary. They have their own set of criteria to qualify for meal assistance.
